Are rats and mice dangerous?
Yes! Unequivocally so. Rats and mice can be carriers of several diseases that can cause serious illness. Transmission occurs through exposure to infected droppings or urine, as well as touching the rodent or being bitten by them, and through fleas, ticks, or mites. There is a wide range of diseases these critters can carry, including–Hantavirus, lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV), and the plague, a.k.a the 'black death', which devastated Europe during the 14th century.
Do you offer attic cleaning for businesses?
Yes! We can do attic cleaning in both residential and commercial settings. It's just as important for businesses to have attics or similar areas regularly cleaned out to ensure a healthy work environment that isn't bogged down by poor air quality due to dust. We'll take care of it safely so that there's no risk of cross-contamination, as well as quickly so we can avoid distracting your workers for too long. It also helps protect your company against things like mold and pests!
Can I install attic air sealing in my attic myself?
This isn't advised, as in order for it to work as intended it must be done carefully and knowledgably. An expert can do testing to find every single crack and leak in the attic, then use special foam that will completely fill up each space to ensure that the desired airtight seal is achieved. Otherwise, there may still be spots where air is able to escape which means you’ll still be wasting energy.
What if I see condensation in my attic?
Condensation in your attic or crawl space means that the air inside has reached 100% humidity. Moisture is condensing onto the wall surfaces and any organic materials in the area will become damp. This dampness invites toxic mold to develop, so it's a good idea to increase the air circulation or use a dehumidifier to insure that the humidity level drops to an acceptable level.
